Dancers & Magic

Magic and the Flow of Energy in DanceMagic and the Flow of Energy in Dance In an earlier post I talked about Alicia Lyn Cornwell (whom I met through the Austin Theatre Project) and our photo session together.

I want to continue those thoughts with a bit of a twist.

I'm reasonably well known (at least amongst my circle ;) ) for doing composites, texturing, and adding small enhancements to photos. I love the photos, and then I have an idea, a vision, and inkling of doing something to take an image in a different direction.

Recently I purchased some tools - brushes and overlays - from a photographer I respect, Dan Frievalt. He is a talented and successful photographer who focuses on high school seniors and creating unusual and uncommon images for them. I decided to take some inspiration from him and experiment with some of the images from my session with Alicia. I wanted to show some of what I see in terms of the magic and the flow of energy when I photograph a dancer.
